Talk to a loved one: one question, one short answer
This is not a séance or a chat thread. You type one question, Vocalove renders a brief compassionate answer in a voice cloned from a sample you are allowed to use — about four to six seconds, with the question on screen as a subtitle.
What this is — and what it is not
There is no consciousness on the other side — no memory of your life together, no replies you did not ask for. What you get is their cadence on words the system speaks for one short line. Many families find that enough; we say the boundary up front because grief deserves honesty.
Need a longer tribute or a service-ready talking portrait? Use memorial video instead. Need audio only? Skip the photo and download the clip. This flow is for the single sentence you still need to hear — once, not on loop.
How it works
Step 1
Record or upload a voice sample
Three to thirty seconds of clear speech you have permission to use — voicemail, toast, family clip. Quiet room, one speaker.
Step 2
Type one question
About a hundred characters. “Are you okay?” “Did I do right by you?” The question appears as a subtitle; it is not spoken aloud.
Step 3
Generate one answer
The tool writes a short compassionate line, clones it, and renders one video (portrait optional). 100 credits per answer — each new question is a new generation.
Why one question, one answer
Emotionally, one pause feels like speaking to someone; a scrolling chat feels like support software. Technically, every extra line is another full clone-and-render pass.
You can ask again tomorrow with a different question — each ask creates a new video and charges credits again. Many families generate two or three privately, then stop when the sentence they needed has been heard.
If you do not have a recording yet
- Search family voice messages and camera-roll audio — birthday wishes, “love you” clips.
- Save carrier voicemail before it expires (with account holder permission).
- Extract speech from old wedding or holiday videos; pick one speaker, minimal crowd noise.
Permission and privacy
Only clone voices you own or have explicit family permission to use. No celebrities, coworkers, or strangers. Uploads generate your output only — delete creations from your account when you want.
FAQ
- Is this really talking to them?
- No — cloned voice speaking a short answer you triggered. It will not reply to questions you did not ask and has no memory of their life.
- How long is the answer?
- About four to six seconds — one or two sentences. Shorter keeps pacing believable.
- Do I need a photo?
- No for audio-only. Add a portrait when you want a video answer on screen.
- Can I ask multiple questions?
- Yes — one at a time. Each question is a new video and a new credit charge. There is no continuous chat mode.
