How do I remove an image background?
- Upload a PNG, JPG, or WEBP, pick Rembg, BiRefNet v2, or Bria, pick a background, then click Remove Background. When the cutout is ready, download the PNG.
Can I download a transparent PNG?
- Yes. Transparent is the default, and that download is a PNG with a transparent background. White, Soft Pink, and Custom Color downloads are PNGs with that color filled behind the subject.
Which image formats are supported?
- PNG, JPG, and WEBP up to 10 MB. The longest side can be up to 8192 pixels. The download is always a PNG.
Is Background Remover free?
- Sign in is required. Rembg is 10 credits and BiRefNet v2 is 10 credits. Bria is 18 credits, or 30 credits when you add a prompt. Every model starts at 10 credits, and the button shows the charge for the one you picked. It is not a free guest tool. If the model fails after the credit is reserved, that credit is still used.
What should I do if the result is not perfect?
- Keep the same photo and press Retry, or upload a shot where the subject is easier to separate from the background. Fine hair and glass can be missed. This tool does not include a manual edge brush.
