Why Use Vocalove Speech to Text

  • Upload and transcribe in the browser

No desktop install. Open the page, upload a recording, and get text back in the same session.

  • Audio to text you can edit

The transcript opens in an editable box so you can fix names or punctuation before you copy or download.

  • Copy or download TXT

One click copies the full transcript or saves a .txt file named from your audio.

  • Credits that scale with length

New accounts start with 5 welcome credits. Longer files use more credits; the button shows the charge before you start.

Use Cases

These are common reasons people convert a voice recording to text. The product is file upload transcription — not a podcast CMS or interview suite.

  • Transcribing Voice Recordings

Turn a phone memo or voice note into searchable text you can paste into notes or email.

  • Converting Interviews to Text

Upload a clear interview recording and get a draft transcript to edit for quotes or research notes.

  • Transcribing Lectures

Convert a lecture or class recording into text for study notes — review accuracy where audio is noisy.

  • Converting Podcasts to Text

Transcribe a podcast episode clip within the length limit to draft show notes or chapter ideas.

Frequently asked questions

What is speech to text?
Speech to text (also called audio transcription) converts spoken audio into written words. On Vocalove you upload a supported audio file and receive a transcript you can edit, copy, or download as TXT.
How do I convert audio to text?
Upload a supported file, choose a language or Auto Detect, then press Transcribe Audio. When processing finishes, edit the transcript if needed and use Copy Text or Download TXT.
Which audio formats does Vocalove support?
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, and WEBM only. Other formats are rejected. MP3 to text works when your file is a valid MP3 within the size and duration limits.
Which languages can I transcribe?
Auto Detect, plus English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Korean, and Italian in the language menu. Accuracy varies with audio quality and accents.
Is Vocalove speech to text free?
You can open the tool without paying a subscription. Transcription requires a Vocalove account and credits. New accounts receive 5 welcome credits; each run costs credits based on audio length. There is no unlimited free transcription.
How long can an audio file be?
Up to 20 minutes and 12 MB per upload. Split longer recordings before you transcribe.
Can I edit and download my transcript?
Yes. After transcription, edit the text in the transcript box, copy it, or download a plain TXT file. Rich formats like PDF or DOCX are not offered in this version.
Is my uploaded audio stored?
Your audio is sent for processing to produce a transcript. Successful transcripts are saved to your account History tab as TXT so you can reopen or download them later; you can delete items from History. Source audio is not kept in that History list. Across the site, uploads are used to provide the service and are not sold for unrelated model training — see the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
